MOVING AND SPACE FORMING OBJECTS (THE PERFOMATIVITY OF THE SPACE)
The aim of the project was not to create a space which would be distinguished by its static structural design, functionality or durability, but rather and much more, to create an abstract architectonic concept of a space not inspired by images of existing spaces. A space which reacts directly to external causes, which is not controllable through its performativity, allowing the unforeseeable, which is what ultimately transforms. What significantly changes the planned unfolding of events in order to allow something that is truly new to emerge, a new direction by which borders will be transposed.
„Moving and Space forming Objects“ (the Perfomativity of the Space) as architectonic space concept which is interpreted artistically, trying to overcome the contradiction between ambiguity and precision. The concept comes to realization through a specific link, inspired by existing literary texts such as „Fatal Strategies“ or „The Singular Objects of Architecture“ by Jean Baudrillard, „Thousand Plateaus“ by Deleuze and Guattari, or „Technics and Time“ by Bernard Stiegler. The text as a constructive and creative element becomes effective, with the associated constraints and consequences upon it, as it manifests itself through the design process. That does not mean, however, that the space resulting from it is automatically special. This space has to be found and generated. In the first phase of development, different methods and materials will be used in a designing and experimental way on not yet given, but rather first to be manufactured aesthetic objects, manifesting themselves in a modal 1:1 form accompanied by a field study. By adding an empirical approach, it becomes possible to collect information and transfer it into the research. Here, the site forms in which the field study not only takes place as the field of research, but rather at the same time as the exhibition space itself, the space in which the space is to be built. It is clear that the objects, although they, at first glance, come across freely and organically, include one of the most important elements out of which the space consists, namely their static quality which ultimately is only a snapshot of a movement that has been prepared in the past.
